Full Nutritional Therapy Appointment

Duration:         1 Hour, 30 Minutes                             

Note:               Includes a personalised, 'Client Report & Treatment Plan'

Requirements:  Prior to your appointment you need to a) keep and submit a 3 day diet diary and b)complete and submit a 'Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire' 

Information On Full Nutritional Therapy Appointment:

For the purposes of explanation the consultation can be broken down into three sections as follows;

Information Gathering

 Through discussions the following key issues will be addressed;

  • Examine and discuss the aims of the clients i.e. what they want to achieve, what health issues need to be addressed.
  • Examine and discuss current health status.  Discuss previous medical history where this has a bearing on the aims of the client. 
  • Examine and discuss current eating and drinking habits, including timings of meals and snacks, food choices, likes and dislikes.
  • Examine and discuss current lifestyle habits, in particular exercise routines, working environment and stress levels.
  • Find out the names of any current or regularly used prescription medications and the reasons for their usage.  Find out the names of any over-the-counter medications currently being used or used on a regular basis.  Find out the names of any herbs/supplements presently being used. 

Verbal Advice

As the consultation progresses verbal advice will be given on the emergence of links between current eating/lifestyle habits and present health issues.  Advice will be given in simple, non-medical language so that the client can begin to appreciate these links.  Verbal advice on the dietary and lifestyle changes needed are discussed.

Written Advice

Written advice may include some or all of the following:

     Menu Ideas - Breakfast, Snacks, Lunch & Dinner

     Breakfast Recipe Ideas

     Snack Recipe Ideas

     Standard Componenets of a Healthy Eating Regime

     Supplement Plan

     Lifestyle Advice

     Special 'Client Information' sheets relating to specific issues relevant to the client
